PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO ANY SUPERKART COMPETITORS THAT MAY NOT BE ON
MY LIST

This message is intended to cover 90% of what you need to know for this
major season of Superkart racing on the West Coast.  If there are any
questions, please feel free to ask, and I will do my best to answer the
question and pass it along to everyone.

2006 USSC SCHEDULE

Race #1 - April 14 & 15 - Friday and Saturday - Thunderhill Raceway,
Willows, CA
Race #2 - May 12 & 13 - Friday and Saturday - Reno Fernley Raceway Park,
Fernley, NV
Race #3 - August 18-20 - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - Miller
Motorsports Park, Tooele County, Utah
Race #4 - October 20-22 - Friday, Saturday and Sunday - Mazda Raceway,
Laguna Seca, CA
Best 3 races used for scoring the season series championship

Scoring will be as shown on the USSC Website, except for one change -
Race #1 receives the same points as Race #2, so that is 30 for 1st, and
on down, for each Race.  There is not a "Prefinal" per se, except, in
the case of a tie, the higher finish in Race #2 breaks the tie for the
event win.  The points are unchanged for the season points.  Example,
two competitors swap finishes in Race 1 and 2, Racer A goes 1st and then
2nd and Racer B goes 2nd and then 1st - Racer B gets the win for the
event - the 1st place trophy for the day, and Racer is 2nd for the day,
and then they both take 54 points for the races, and add their
qualifying points, and that is the event points for the series championship/

To compete in the season championship points - competitors must complete
the series entry form and submit the fees.  This can either be done by
mail to JR Osborne, or, bring the form and $300 fee (Payable to USSC,
LLC to the first event and I will forward it.  Form is available here:

As we will be running "within" the Superstars event, I have not
sorted out the actual "parts" of the event.  As closely as possible, I
will be trying to score the USSC competitors in the USSC format of
Qualifying, Race #1 and Race #2  This will all be worked out as I work
with SCK on the details.  Also, some of the tech rules may have to be
adjusted.
Basically, everyone is running the Superstars event and I will score out
of that the USSC competitors.
THE IMPORTANT THING IS TO ENTER!!!!!

Other major event:  2006 IKF Road Race Grand Nationals will be at
Reno-Fernley Raceway, July 6-8, and IKF has both ICE and Unlimited for
Superkarts.

With the May USSC event at RFR, then an NCK and NW Gold Cup event at RFR
in June (16th practice, 17th racing), then the Grands in July, there are
3 races over 3 months at RFR that should have some great Superkart
competition.
Support your local road race programs.  This helps all of us have the
opportunity to race on great West Coast tracks.

Pre-enter whenever possible - this will save you time at the event

ASK QUESTIONS - I want you to know whatever you need to know.

Planning for 2007 is underway.  If you have contacts with some other
racing group that would have room for us as a support race, please let
me know.  The vision is to have 4 events, up and down the coast.  We
missed the NW in 2006, I would really like to go there for 2007 if we
can get a good date.
